Brevard, N.C.- The Brevard College Tornados were swept by Georgia College in a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon, falling 5-2 in the opener and 6-2 in the finale.

Game 1: Georgia College 5, Brevard 2 (8 innings)
Georgia College scored three runs in the top of the 8th inning after the Tornados tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the 7th.

Brittany Tucker homered to lead off the 7th before Michelle Ray singled in Kacey Brooker to tie the game at 2-2 to force extra innings.

Georgia College then scored three runs on three hits and walk in the 8th against Kayla Clemens (L, 4-8). The righty threw all eight innings in the circle for BC, allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks while striking out 11.

Alyssa Miller, Emily Boykin and Heather Morris each had two hits to lead BC.

Georgia College scored on an error in the top of the 5th to break a scoreless tie, and added an RBI single in the top of the 6th to take a 2-0 lead. 

Game 2: Georgia College 6, Brevard 2
The Bobcats scored in three straight innings to take a 6-0 lead in the second game.

Miller (L, 3-4) made the start for BC, allowing five runs (four earned) on nine hits and three walks in four innings in the circle.
The Tornados scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the 6th but went down in order in the bottom of 7th to end the game.
The Tornados continue their home stand as they host Winston-Salem State for a doubleheader tomorrow afternoon at 2 and 4 p.m.
