Charlotte, N.C. - Brevard College is pleased to announce that the school's men's basketball game against Belmont Abbey College, set for Saturday, November 29, has been moved to Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, N.C., the home of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats. This is the first time in program history that a Brevard team has played a game at an NBA arena.
Following the Brevard vs. Belmont Abbey showdown at 2:30 p.m. is an NBA match-up between the Bobcats and the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics at 7:00 p.m. Fans who purchase a ticket for the Tornado game will be readmitted later in the evening on the same ticket to see the Bobcats/Celtics game.
Fans can purchase tickets through the Brevard College Athletic Department, which can be reached at (828) 884-8276. The college is furnishing a booster bus that will leave from the school at 11 a.m. The cost of a riding the booster bus plus a ticket is $40. Individual tickets without the booster bus ride cost $30 apiece. Seating is general admission for the Brevard game. At the conclusion of the afternoon contest, the arena will be cleared and fans will be readmitted on the for upper-level seating for the Bobcats game that evening.
There is also an alumni event that will take place inbetween the two games, as the Brevard College Alumni Office will host a dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn-Charlotte Uptown. Join friends from Brevard College and the members of the men's basketball team for a meal after cheering the Tornados on to victory. The game will also be broadcast live on WSQL AM-1240, The Home of the White Squirrel. The Tornado Basketball Pregame Show will start the broadcast 30 minutes before tip-off.
