BC COMPETES IN SMOKEY MOUNTAIN INTERCOLLEGIATE

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn.- The Brevard College men’s golf team opened their 2013 fall slate at the Smokey Mountain Intercollegiate earlier this week, finishing in 13th place.

Sebastian Strehl paced the Tornados with a 147 in the two-day event, shaving three strokes off his 75 on the opening day to hit an even 72 on day two. The freshman finished tied for 12th in a field of 96 golfers.

Sami Vanni was BC’s other top performer at the tournament hosted by Carson-Newman, finishing tied for 29th. The sophomore cut his score on the second day by four swings, hitting a 73 on Tuesday after carding a 77 Monday.

The Tornados golf team is back in action September 23-24 at the Tusculum Fall Golf Classic at Link Hills Country Club in Greenville, Tennessee.
