BREVARD, N.C.- The Brevard College volleyball team fell 3-0 to Mars Hill in South Atlantic Conference action in Boshamer Gymnasium on Friday night. The Lions won by scores of 25-18, 25-14, and 25-21.
The Lions (12-7, 10-5 SAC) had three players contribute at least 11 kills, while Fatima Gharachorloo contributed a team-high nine kills for Brevard (6-13, 2-12 SAC).
Erin Rollins and Camille Cameron finished with eight and six kills, respectively, but the Tornados hit only .095 percent on the night.
Marissa Wixson paced the Lions with a game-high 13 kills, while MaryKate Griffin had 12 kills at a team-high .346 hitting percentage. Toni Cole also had 11 kills to help the Lions to the win.
The Tornados continue conference play when the Tusculum Pioneers visit Boshamer Gymnasium on Saturday at 12 p.m. The Lions, meanwhile, are next in action at Queens on Tuesday night.
