MARS HILL, N.C.- The Brevard College (3-6, 1-3 SAC) men’s lacrosse team visited the Mars Hill Lions (3-4, 2-1 SAC) at Meares Stadium and Ammons Family Center losing 21-7 in their fourth South Atlantic Conference battle on March 19.
Starting at the 12:35 mark, MHU placed in their first goal and continued on a five-goal run to take an early lead on the Tornados. Brevard was unable to answer until Alex Bazzell cleared the ball up to teammate Mathew Dropuljic for the team’s first goal.
The Lions had two players finish with four goals each and continued to strengthen their lead after finishing the fourth quarter with three goals.
Brevard scored their second goal off Blair Alexandersen and remained scoreless until Andrew Bonnie placed in a goal at the 5:41 mark of the 3rd quarter. The Tornados continued to tally up three more to finish the quarter.
Andrew Bonnie finished the game with three goals while Mathew Dropuljic added two. Blair Alexandersen and Robert Thornley finished with one each for the Tornados. BC ended with five assists on seven goals.
The Tornados will host Florida Institute of Technology at the Tornados Lacrosse Field on Saturday, March 22 at 1:00 p.m.
