FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA- The Brevard College (0-9, 0-3 SAC) women’s lacrosse team traveled to play NAIA opponent Emmanuel College (6-7) resulting in a 20-2 loss for the Tornados.

The Lions went on a 12 goal run before the Tornados could place in one of their own. Madison Ellis looked up field to teammate Julia Gasston on a transitional past. Gasston ripped the ball past the Lions goalkeeper, helping BC put a goal on the scoreboard to finish the half.

Brianna Bangle relieved Melissa Harris from goal for Brevard at the 14:13 mark of the first half. Melissa Harris tallied 3 saves during her time while Bangle finished the game with 7.

Brevard held the Lions to no goals from the 18:06 to the 7:27 mark of the second half. During this time, BC was able to place in their second goal of the game after Madison Ellis picked up a deflected shot to skip one past the goalkeeper herself. The Lions answered back with two more goals to finish the game.

The Lions were led by Savannah Gratz after contributing seven goals followed by Haley Larson with six.

Brevard College will host a South Atlantic Conference game this Saturday, April 5 against Lenoir-Rhyne at the Tornados Lacrosse Field at noon.
