Brevard, N.C. – The Brevard College athletics department in corporation with head women’s soccer coach Liz Stojetz are pleased to announce Rebekah Mumm as the new graduate assistant coach for the Brevard College women’s soccer program.
Mumm, a four-year player for the Lady Catamounts of Western Carolina, will join the BC staff as a graduate assistant and will help Coach Stojetz with day-to-day operations, practices, recruiting and workouts.
“I am excited to have Bekah on board this season,” stated Stojetz. “She has the playing experience, coaching experience and determination to help our program improve on a regular basis as we complete the transition to NCAA Division II.”
While a member of the Lady Catamounts soccer team from 2004-2008, she was a member of the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll as well as the TIAA-CREF All-Academic Team.
Mumm graduated in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Law and had a minor in Marketing.
Mumm has experience in both coaching and conditioning, as she has served as an assistant soccer coach at Ralph Lundy Soccer Academy as well as a skill development trainer at the Smoky Mountain Soccer Club.
Brevard College was 4-15-1 last season, as the Tornados competed as provisional members of both the NCAA Division II level and the South Atlantic Conference.
