Brevard, N.C. – On Friday, June 20, the second phase of the renovations to Boshamer Gymnasium on the campus of Brevard College was completed, as fresh new paint was put up on the interior walls of the venue.
The gymnasium which plays home to the Brevard College volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball teams is scheduled to receive a number of changes this summer.
The new paint job is just one of a number of renovations that will be done to Boshamer Gymnasium this season. The renovation process has reached phase three, as both phase one, the removal of the old bleachers, and phase two, new paint, are now complete.
Phase three includes additions such as new shot clock equipment and a new three-point line to meet with the new rules for the NCAA Division II men’s basketball legislation.
The installation of new chair back seats with steps and hand rails for our BC fans and students will wrap up the renovation which is projected to be completed in early August, allowing our student-athletes, students, fans and community members to enjoy the new up-to-date changes come fall 2008.
