Game 1 – Tusculum 16, Brevard 6
Tusculum scored in the game’s first three innings, including a six-spot in the third, and never took their foot off the accelerator.

Tim Kellinger (Knoxville, Md.) was hit by a pitch, bringing Jacob White (Elkin, N.C.) in to pitch for the Tornados.
Jared Richmond (Fort Smith, Ark.) greeted White while an RBI double down the right field line, scoring Collins, then Richmond and Kellinger both scored on a single from Houser. Feliz ended the damage with a double scoring Houser to make the score 9-1.
Tusculum added a run in the 5th, when Richmond homered to straight away center field.
Brevard scored twice in the bottom of the fifth. Spencer Linn (Fletcher, N.C.) drilled a 1-1 pitch over the left center wall for a two-run bomb to cut the gap to 10-3.
Tusculum scored four more in the sixth, on an RBI single from Kellinger, a 2 RBI double from Richmond, and an RBI single from Aaron Hudgins (Kingsport, Tenn.).

Scholer and Linn also had run-scoring singles as the Tornados took a 4-0 lead after an inning.
The first Tusculum marker came in the 3rd, when an RBI single from Hudgins scored Ford to make it 4-1.
