Asheville, N.C. – The Brevard College men’s tennis team wrapped up their 2007-08 season on Monday afternoon, as the Tornados fell indoors to the Bulldogs of UNC-Asheville, 7-0.
The match was played indoors at the Asheville Racquet Club on Monday afternoon due to rain, with the NCAA Division I member UNC-Asheville Bulldogs coming away with the shutout victory.
In doubles play, the Tornados fell behind 2-0 to the Bulldogs as UNC-Asheville was able to win two out of the three bouts, with BC winning at the No. 1 doubles spot.
At the No. 1 doubles spot, the Tornados team of Cole Altizer and Jared Fisher took the UNC-Asheville duo of Mauricio Correa and Joe May to the limit before winning in the tiebreaker 8-6 to win the match 9-8 (6).
