Brevard, N.C. - The Brevard College athletics department along with the head men’s and women’s tennis coach Paul Thomson are excited to announce the signing of Lindsay Hostetter to a National Letter of Intent to continue both her athletic and academic career at Brevard College beginning in the fall of 2008.

Hostetter, who comes to Brevard College by way of Livonia, Michigan, played under head coach Kathy Ladd at Livonia Stevenson High School.
The 5-9 tennis player has a strong resume as she was named the team MVP in 2008, her senior season. In 2006, Hostetter was named to the All-Area Team, while in 2005-06 she was the Regional Champion and the Conference Champion. In 2004, as a freshman she was both a conference and regional finalist.
Hostetter was ranked as high as 21st in the SE MI USTA rankings and has reached as high as 96th in the Midwest USTA regional rankings.
"Lindsay will be a great addition to our program,” stated Coach Thomson. “She will make an immediate impact on our line up. She is a very tough competitor and an excellent student. I am looking forward to working with her and watching her grow and develop as a person and player over the next four years. We are very fortunate to have her as a part of the BC family".
Hostetter will join a Brevard College team that posted an overall record of 14-8 in 2007-08, as the Tornados competed as provisional members of both the South Atlantic Conference and the NCAA Division II.
