Johnson finds end zone twice

Brevard, N.C. - The Brevard College football team held their 2nd annual Spring Game Saturday evening at Brevard Memorial Stadium, with the Blue squad beating the White, 17-0. Xavier Johnson (Chester, S.C.) scored two touchdowns on the ground for the Blue team.

After a scoreless first quarter, the White team found the scoreboard on the first play of the second quarter, when Chase Henry (Franklin, N.C.) booted a 22-yard field goal to make the score 3-0 Blue.

Johnson broke the touchdown barrier late in the quarter, capping a long drive with a one-yard plunge into the end zone. Henry's point after was good, putting the Blue up, 10-0.

The final touchdown came on the first drive after halftime. Richard Bush (North Augusta, S.C.) began the drive with a 52-yard run, the longest play from scrimmage of the day. Johnson capped the drive with a two-yard touchdown run. Henry added the PAT to make the score 17-0.
