HOVIS SCORES LONE GOAL FOR TORNADOS

Brevard, N.C. - Sydney Douglas recorded fifteen saves for Brevard, allowing two goals. However, Brevard only found the back of the net once when Allie Hovis scored late in the game making the final score 2-1.

King improves to 8-3 while Brevard falls to 5-7.

King's first goal came at 32:06 when Douglas came out of the net and saved an Emma Wells shot When Douglas was unable to hold on to the ball, Hannah Shankel found the rebound and knocked one in.

Brevard played a close game and held King off the board until the 72nd minute when Pua Coffman scored on a penatly kick.

Hovis scored an unassisted goal late in the game to make the score 2-1.

The Tornados will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Wingate for a conference match.
