Brevard, N.C. - The Brevard men were unable to capitalize on scoring opportunities as North Greenville downed the Tornados 3-0 Saturday afternoon.
The win boosts North Greenville to 6-6-1 while Brevard drops to 1-16.
North Greenville scored just eight minutes into the game when Juan Carlos Aguilera scored his first of two goals off of a pass from Seth Snyder. Brevard went on to hold the Crusaders scoreless for the rest of the half before giving up a goal a minute into the second half.
The Crusaders added their final goal when Aguilera scored an unassisted goal with just a minute remaining the game. The Tornados tried to respond with a last second Ian Townson shot in attempt to avoid the shutout but failed when the shot went wide.
Goalkeeper Jack Shaw saved six of nine while his counter, Nick Williams, saved one of one.
The Tornados have two games remaining and will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Newberry for a 5 p.m. game.
