Malloy joined the Brevard College coaching staff as the head coach for cross country and track & field in July 2013 following a two-year stint at Northwestern State.
Malloy is no stranger to the Brevard area as he served three years on the senior staff at the Brevard Distance Runners Camp, which is one of the largest running camps in the country, handling over 1,000 campers per summer.
During his time with the Demons, Malloy served as the assistant coach and worked closely with the cross country teams. Malloy not only brought success to the course, but to the classroom while the Demons accumulated a 3.41 GPA in the class during his tenure.
While at Northwestern, he led the cross country squad to six individual titles while the 2012 team recorded its highest finish in the Southland Conference in 10 years. Also, five student-athletes were tabbed Southland Conference Athlete of the Week for cross country performances.
Malloy coached the outdoor track & field team to 10 top-5 performances including seven in the spring of 2012. Also, paced the 4x400 to two all-conference awards.
From 2009-11, the Ephrata, Pa., native, assisted at James Madison while earning his Master of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Leadership. The 2010 cross country women's squad claimed the Colonial Athletic Association Championship while winning the individual championship as well.
While a student-athlete at Millersville, Malloy broke the school record as part of the 4x400 team. He earned all-conference merits in cross country, the indoor 800- and outdoor 3000-meter steeplechase. Additionally, he was tabbed the track & field team captain three times while earning the recognition twice for the cross country squad.
