Kristin Rosato | Assistant Coach
Alma Mater: Montevallo, 2012
Brevard hired former Montevallo player Kristin Rosato as an assistant coach in the summer of 2014.
Rosato graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2012 where she is the all-time leader in games played for the Falcons. She was named to the Peach Belt’s second team all-conference roster and was a third team All-Southeast Region selection by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The team MVP and three-year captain also completed an assistant coaching internship at Montevallo where she assisted with training, served in various administrative roles, and became heavily involved in recruiting. She was recruited to play for the Falcons by Shinohara, who left an assistant coaching position at Montevallo in 2009 to take over the Brevard program.
“It’s great to be reunited with ‘Shug’ and to become a part of the Brevard family,” said Rosato. “I’m really excited to learn from him and I can’t wait for the girls to get on campus and get started.”
In addition to her work at Montevallo, Rosato has served as the head coach at Alabaster Soccer Club and in an assistant coaching role at Hoover High School in suburban Birmingham. She has also worked as a personal trainer.
“I am absolutely delighted for ‘Rizzo’ to join our staff,” said Shinohara. “She will be a great addition for us. I have recruited and coached her and she’s known me since I started my collegiate coaching career. She has learned a lot and is very eager to be one of the best coaches in college soccer. I’m absolutely thrilled at her taking an assistant role with our program and she’ll be a great asset.”
