2011-2015 Tennessee State Wide Receiver

2017- Brevard College Wide Receivers Coach

First year wide receivers coach, Andrew Bather, joined Brevard College in February of 2017.

As a player, Bather was a consummate tactician, running solid routes and opening passing lanes for his teammates. After his redshirt season in 2011, he made appearances in every game over the course of the next four years, highlighted by his most productive campaign in 2014 as a Redshirt Junior. During an ESPN 3 telecast against then top ten ranked Jacksonville State, Bather tallied a career-high six receptions. His first career touchdown came at the end of that season against Murray State, and he was part of an offense that helped Michael German break the school record for career passing yards.

Not limiting himself to catching exploits, Bather was also a special teams captain making audibles on the field and becoming a vital component of coverage units. Bather averaged two solo tackles on special teams a season, including a blocked punt against Central State in 2013.

Part of a proud family legacy at Tennessee State University, the lone Historic Black College & University in the Ohio Valley Conference, as oldest brother Brandon (2006-2010) and older brother Justin (2008-2012), all played collegiately for the Big Blue of TSU. All told, the Bather brothers accounted for 10 years on the gridiron at the on-campus stadium, Hale Stadium, or at the shared venue of Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans.

A product of LaVergne High School, the Tennessee native graduated with a degree in human performance and sport sciences in 2016.
