Carole Futrelle joined the Brevard College Athletic Department staff in August 2009, taking on the role of Director of Marketing & Donor Relations.
Futrelle comes to the Tornados having served as the Executive Director of Carolina Voices based out of Charlotte, N.C. from 1993-1997 where she developed and maintained relationships with financial contributors and in-kind providers, successfully applying for multiple grants on local, state and national levels. She also managed the day-to-day business operations as well as identifying, recruiting and training new members for supporting committees within both the organizations, as well as the members of the Board of Directors.
Prior to her post as Executive Director, Futrelle served as the Director of Development for Carolina Voices from 1990-1993 where she developed and implemented campaign drives for individual gifts, as well as preparing and completing successful presentations for solicitations of corporate gifts.
Futrelle graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and serves as a volunteer at Providence Presbyterian Church, where she has served as an Elder, Clerk of Session, Youth Advisor and Adult Sunday School Teacher.
Carole and her husband Ted live in Brevard and are the proud parents of two children, a son Dan who lives in Brevard with his wife Susan, and a daughter Kelly, who resides in Charlotte.
