Playing Career

2017 (JUNIOR): A solid performer for the Brevard defensive unit, Easter capped off the season ranked ninth in total tackles (32) after making 18 assisted tackles, finishing second on tackles for loss (8.5) and leading all defensive players with 2.5 sacks for losses totaling 14 yards … opened the season with four tackles (three solo) and one tackle for loss at Davidson (Sept. 2) … had his best single-game performance of the season, making nine tackles (seven assisted) along with a half tackle for loss against Emory & Henry (Sept. 9) … had two stops, both solo, against Greensboro (Sept. 16) … came through with three tackles (two assisted) and one tackle for loss against LaGrange (Sept. 23) … came through with four tackles (three assisted) against Virginia-Lynchburg (Oct. 7) … made one solo tackle, a sack for a five-yard loss, at N.C. Wesleyan (Oct. 28) … emerged with three tackles (two assisted), along with 1.5 sacks, against Methodist (Oct. 14) … ended the season on a high note with four tackles (two solo) against Averett (Nov. 4) as he made two for loss.

2016 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 11 games for Brevard … finished with 22 solo tackles en route to 33 total tackles … made 10 tackles for loss, pushing the opponent back for losses totaling 39 yards … the best single-game outing of the season came against Wingate (Sept. 17) where he finished with 3.5 tackles for losses totaling 16 yards. Finished off his performance against Wingate with four solo tackles and 1.5 sacks for a loss of 12 yards in the contest.  … also had a pair of tackles for loss against Limestone (Oct. 15) as he finished with 2.5 tackles in the game … started the season off with five solo tackles (six total) against East Stroudsburg (Sept. 1), among them including one sack … tied his season-high in total tackles (six) due in large part to four solo tackles against Wingate (Sept. 17) … capped off the season with seven multi-tackle outings … made one fumble recovery against Apprentice School (Sept. 24) … had two quarterback hurries on the season, recording one each against Emory & Henry (Sept. 10) and Tusculum (Oct. 1).

2014 (FRESHMAN): Played in eight games … one of eight players to record a sack … had eight tackles with two for losses of nine total yards … posted a career-high three tackles with two for losses versus College of Faith with a sack for a seven-yard loss.

PERSONAL: From Graham, N.C. ... graduated from Southern Alamance High School...Played football under Coach Andrew Carrouth ... was a first-team All-Conference selection and was also selected to the first-team All-Conference Defensive Line of the Year in 2013 ... was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2014 ... also played baseball and lacrosse ... son of Melinda and James Easter.
