BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Tornados Men's Soccer program, under the direction of Head Coach Bradley Morrison, has announced its 2019 slate of opponents. Heading into their third season of NCAA Division III competition, the Tornados will play 13 USA South Athletic Conference matches, four non-conference opponents, and three exhibitions. BC will make nine appearances at Ives-Lemel Family Field, seven of which being regular-season contests.

"We are excited about how our 2019 schedule has come together," stated Coach Morrison. "We play in a tough USA South Athletic Conference with games all over the southeast that will test us each time we take the field.  We look forward to growing together each game beginning with our exhibition games that feature a few teams in different divisions of college soccer."

BC begins its 2019 campaign with three exhibition matches in the month of August. The Tornados first host NAIA opponent Milligan College in preseason play on Monday, August 19 at 3 p.m. before closing out the two-match exhibition homestand against NCAA DIII Guilford College on Saturday, August 24 at 3 p.m.

The Tornados dive into conference action with a Saturday, September 14 match against Covenant College at Ives-Lemel Field, which is set to begin at 3 p.m.

Brevard Men's Soccer then embarks on a season-long four-match conference road swing, beginning with a mid-week trip to Demorest, Ga. to take on Piedmont College on Tuesday, September 17, with match time to be determined.

BC continues its four-match stretch away from home with back-to-back weekend matches in Eastern North Carolina. Wesleyan College on September 22 at 1 p.m.

The Tornados conclude their road trip the next weekend as they head down to LaGrange, Ga. to face LaGrange College on Saturday, September 28 at 6 p.m.

The Tornados will then travel for its second back-to-back USA South weekend of the season. Brevard meets Greensboro College in Greensboro, N.C. on Saturday, October 12 before heading to Cary, N.C. for a meeting with William Peace University on Sunday, October 13. Both match times are to be determined.

The Tornados will conclude their 2019 regular season with a trip to Winston-Salem, N.C. for a matchup with Piedmont International University on Wednesday, October 30 at 6 p.m.

Brevard Men's Soccer is set to return several key contributors from their 2018 roster into the 2019 campaign.

BC goalkeeper Patrick Hall recorded 132 saves in 2018, which led the USA South Conference and was the second-most single-season saves in BC's NCAA-era history.

The Tornados will also return their two leading goal scorers in Matheus Masukawa and Alex Tenjhay.

Brevard concludes its spring with a spring match against Lees-McRae College on Friday, April 12 at Ives-Lemel Field. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

"A schedule release gives the players and supporters concrete objectives to look forward to, which is very exciting," added Coach Morrison. "Our group will continue to work hard to improve each opportunity that we can in preparation for the season and then throughout the Fall season.  We look forward to the opportunities we have to represent Brevard College throughout the southeast in the Fall."
