"It was very impressive to see all the schools that ventured to Brevard Rock Gym to participate in our home season opener," said Brevard College Head Climbing Coach Travis Gray. "The event was filled with tons of positive energy and support from the climbers, volunteers and spectators. This is always the most inspiring part of the climbing community, watching everyone come together to enjoy climbing, the one thing that brought us all together."

"Despite not having our full roster due to academic field trips, our climbers represented proudly and displayed themselves as great hosts," added Gray.  "Congratulations to freshman team member, Madison Altman on her fantastic performance and earning a 2nd place finish at her first ever collegiate competition. We look forward to everyone making the pilgrimage back to Brevard Rock Gym when we host our next event in the spring.
