Cameron Isenhour was been named Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach at Brevard College and enters his second season at the helm of BCXC in 2025. In addition to his role as Head Cross Country Coach, Isenhour also serves as Assistant Coach for the BC Track & Field program.
Isenhour arrived at Brevard College, having most recently serving as Head Cross Country and Track Coach at Northwood High School in Pittsboro, North Carolina where he was a six-time Conference Coach of the Year. Prior to his experience at Northwood, he worked as Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Coach at NCAA Division II Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina.
In his tenure at Northwood, Isenhour led the school’s outdoor track & field programs to several team conference championships in track & field. His men’s cross country team achieved runner up at the regional championships three times to go along with a runner-up finish in track & field. A grand total of 77 of Isenhour’s athletes earned All-Conference honors to go along with 20 individual conference titles.
Notably at Northwood, Isenhour played a pivotal role in guiding student-athlete Caroline Murrell to four state championships and two 3A-state meet records solidifying her legacy in North Carolina high school distance running. Murrell’s outstanding performances under Isenhour’s tutelage underscore his ability to nurture talent and cultivate champions.
While at Belmont Abbey, Isenhour worked with jumpers and throwers for the Track & Field program, while also focusing on academic progress for the program’s student-athletes. Eight of his student-athletes went on to earn All-Academic conference honors, while school records were broken in several high jump, pole vault and long jump during his tenure.
Isenhour began his coaching career as the Head Track & Field Coach at Gray Stone Day School in Misenheimer, North Carolina. At Gray Stone, Isenhour led his athletes to a total of 45 All-Conference honors including 16 event champions in his three years at the helm.
Isenhour graduated from UNC Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Business Studies. A USATF (USA Track & Field) Cross Country Specialist and a Level Two Track & Field Certified Coach, Isenhour is also a USATF Certified Official for Track & Field.
