Toby Naylor enters his first full season on staff with the Brevard College football program following a five-year standout playing career. Naylor currently serves as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach/Futures Special Teams Coordinator/Assistant Linebackers Coach/Defensive Quality Control
.
Naylor previously served two seasons on staff with Brevard College women's lacrosse, serving as a graduate assistant coach in the 2024 season after serving as a student assistant in 2023. Naylor is currently serving as the Strength and Conditioning Coach/Assistant Linebackers Coach/Defensive Quality Control/Futures Special Teams Coordinator for the Brevard College Football team - a role which he began in the Spring of 2024 following a five-year standout career as a linebacker on the Brevard College Football squad The numerous All-Conference honoree and Southampton, England product was selected as the program's first D3football.com All-Region honoree in the Spring of 2021. Following his collegiate playing career, Naylor went abroad during the summer of 2024, competing for the Hamburg Sea Devils of Hamburg, Germany. The Sea Devils compete in the in the
European League of Football (ELF). The European League of Football is a professional American football league based in Europe, continuing some team names and logos of the former NFL Europe. The ELF played its first season in 2021, and had 17 teams in the 2024 season. Teams are located in Germany, Poland, Spain, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and France
Playing Career at Brevard College
2023 (GRADUATE): Totaled 28 solo tackles alongside 26 assisted tackles for 54 total tackles ... added 4 and a half tackles-for-loss, a sack, two interceptions, and three pass breakups ... logged a season-high eight tackles vs. Averett (September 16).
2022 (SENIOR): Led all Tornados with 78 total tackles (37 solo, 41 assisted) and had a team-best 10 ½ tackles-for-loss … notched two quarterback sacks with an interception, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble … USA South All-Conference selection.
2021 (JUNIOR): Appeared in all 10 contests for the Tornados in the fall of 2021 … logged 60 total tackles (35 solo, 25 assisted) and 10 ½ tackles-for-loss (fourth on the team) … tacked on four quarterback sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble … USA South All-Conference selection.
SPRING 2021 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in all five games for the Tornados this season. Recorded 37 tackles and 2.5 sacks on the season. Had a season high 13 tackles against Huntingdon College (Mar. 13). Helped the Tornados to a USA South Co-West Division Championship … USA South All-Division and D3football.com All-Region selection.
2019 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in all 10 games for the Tornados... recorded 25 tackles and 1 sack... had a season high 3 tackles against Carnegie Melon (Nov. 23)... helped the Tornados to their first bowl win in school history at the ECAC Scotty Whitelaw Bowl.
