BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College Department of Athletics is excited to announce a brand new and engaging fundraising opportunity with the inaugural Tornados Clays Classic, scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Biltmore Sporting Clays Club in Asheville, North Carolina. This event is made possible thanks to the generous Title Sponsorship provided by Joe and Nancy DePippo.
 
"The Tornados Clays Classic is an innovative opportunity for friends of the College to support our outstanding athletic programs and student-athletes," said Bradley J Andrews, President of Brevard College.  "We thank Joe and Nancy DePippo for their generosity in making this fantastic endeavor a reality and hope to see many of you in March at the Biltmore Sporting Clays Club."

All proceeds from the inaugural Tornados Clays Classic go directly to benefit Brevard College Athletics programs and student-athletes at BC.

"We're always looking for opportunities to enhance our fundraising platform. This event is unique, and we are excited to host an event at a top-class facility with an incredibly supportive community," said Associate Vice President for Athletics, Myranda Nash. "This will be an event that will be sought after and fill up quickly!" 
 
The event will feature 12 teams of four participants each at Biltmore's 12-station course. Registration for a full four-member team is $1,500, or an individual registration of $400. Registration includes shells, lunch, and a premium participant gift. Awards will be distributed for the top-performing team and individual.
 
Event registration will be the morning of Saturday, March 7, from 8-8:30 a.m., with a safety briefing to follow, and safety gear will be provided to all participants. Start time for the inaugural Tornados Clays Classic will be at 9 a.m.
 
A generous donation from the DePippo family was made of a SKB 690 12-gauge shotgun with a 28" barrel that will be up for raffle at the event. Raffle tickets will be $50 apiece with no limit on the amount purchased, and the drawing will be held live at the conclusion of the Tornados Clays Classic.
