SALISBURY, N.C. - Two goals within the first six minutes of the game by Catawba's (6-1-1, 5-0 SAC), Becky Frost would be the only offense needed for the Indians to take Saturday's conference matchup from the Brevard Women's soccer team (3-6, 0-5 SAC) by a score of 2-0.

Catawba got things going in the fifth minute of competition as Anna Sidders crossed the ball from the left side of the field to allow Becky Frost to head the ball into the goal at the near post. Frost would score again a minute and a half later, as she took a pass from Peyton Pruitt to score from the corner.

After giving up two early goals, Brevard's freshman goal keeper, Laurel Neuzil (Loudon, Tenn.) would finish the day with 12 saves in the net.

Offensively, the Tornados were led by midfielder, Ashley Hughes (Charlotte, N.C.) who would account for three of six shots on the day for Brevard. Kathleen Gant (Columbia, S.C.) would finish the day with two shots, and sophomore, Caroline David (Charlotte, N.C.) would add one shot on goal. Catawba would take a 25-6 shot advantage on Brevard for the day.

The Tornados will look to snap a six game losing streak as they travel to Greeneville, Tenn. Wednesday, October 5 to take on conference opponent Tusculum for a match slated to begin at 7 pm.
