CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Brevard College men's tennis team (0-4) fell 6-3 to host Johnson & Wales in the squad's Spring season opener on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Freshman
Hayden LeBlanc impressed with a 6-0, 6-0 victory in number one singles. The freshman from Zachary, Louisiana also combined with junior
Bryce Bernitt for a 8-4 win in no. 1 doubles.

Bernitt also took care of business in his singles match, winning number two singles by the score of 6-2, 6-2.Â

In other doubles action, senior
Devin Horton and junior
Peter Bresko represented BC in no. 2 doubles. Juniors
Brian Seon and
Noah Lewis battled in no. 3 doubles, ultimately falling 8-7 in a tiebreaker.

Trailing 2-1 after doubles play, Brevard won number one and two singles behind LeBlanc and Bernitt. The Wildcats however won number three through six to take the team victory.

Brevard will return to action with a road match at Piedmont in Demorest, Georgia on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
