Football Sets 2024 Schedule

BC to Play 10-Straight Contests, Eight USA South Games for First Time Ever

FULL 2024 SCHEDULE LINK

BREVARD, N.C. –
The Brevard College football program has set its schedule for the upcoming 2024 season of action. BC's schedule features 10 consecutive contests beginning on September 14, as eight USA South Conference matchups are sandwiched in between a pair of non-conference bouts.

"Charging right into the 2024 season and finally being able to play a full eight-game conference schedule, we begin by welcoming two high-powered opponents to Ives-Lemel Family Field," commented Head Coach Bill Khayat, who enters his seventh season at the helm of the Tornado football program. "First will be a familiar foe from last year's schedule, the ODAC's Hampton-Sydney. Second, in a prime example of 'testing one's mettle,' the Tornados will take on the Belhaven Blazers, the reigning USA South champions."

The afformentioned Hampden-Sydney College will make the trip to the mountains of Western North Carolina after the two sides squared off for the first time in program history last season in Virginia. The Tigers and Tornados will kick off BC's 2024 season on Saturday, September 14 at Ives-Lemel Family Field in a 1 p.m. start time, which will serve as Brevard's annual Hometown Heroes contest. BC's season-opening two-game homestand concludes in the USA South opener on Saturday, September 21 at 1 p.m. vs. Belhaven University, as the Tornados look to 'White Out' Ives-Lemel Family Field in this early-season showdown between the Blazers and Tornados.

"With these early formidable challenges, we must establish a winning trajectory from game one,"added Coach Khayat. "To that end, I am pleased to report that many of our record-setting offensive and defensive players will be returning to provide their invaluable contributions to not only attaining another winning conference record but also to claiming the ultimate prize, the USA South crown.  We look forward to the always enthusiastic support of our exceptional fans—Nado Nation at its finest!"

The first road matchup of 2024 is on Saturday, September 28 at 2 p.m. when BC visits Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee. The contest serves as a rematch of an instant classic last season, as Brevard earned a 37-35 win in triple-overtime on Homecoming over the visiting Scots. The Tornados will then prepare for a trip to Buena Vista, Virginia to take on Southern Virginia University at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 5.

Homecoming 2024 culminates with a 6 p.m. kickoff at Ives-Lemel Family Field as the Tornados square off with Greensboro College on Saturday, October 12. Brevard will put its historically unblemished record on the line, as the Tornados are 6-0 all-time vs. the Pride. BC then hosts Youth Day on Saturday, October 19 at 3:30 p.m. vs. LaGrange College before hitting the road for a marquee matchup vs. Huntingdon College on Saturday, October 26 at 2 p.m. ET in Montgomery, Alabama.

BC celebrates its 2024 senior class on Saturday, November 2 at 12 p.m. vs. Methodist University at Ives-Lemel Family Field before the USA South schedule concludes on Saturday, November 9 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina vs. NC Wesleyan University at 1 p.m. BC's final regular season contest will be on Saturday, November 16 at 1 p.m. as the Tornados make their first-ever trip to Grayson, Kentucky to take on Kentucky Christian University.

BC's 2023 season was highlighted by Brevard's fifth straight season with a winning record in conference action. Over the course of the last five seasons, BC has a 28-17 overall record and a 23-9 mark in USA South play.
