ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - Three different Tornados scored four goals apiece as the Brevard College women's lacrosse team (4-4, 2-0 USA South) dismantled North Carolina Wesleyan University (0-7, 0-2 USAS) by a final score of 16-2 on Saturday afternoon in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
Sophomore
Xan Hill tallied four goals and four assists for an eight-point performance, while
Arianna Casertano and
Emily Denaga also scored four goals each. Denaga added an assist and a season-best 11 draw controls, while Casertano's four goals marked a new career high for the Cumming, Georgia freshman attacker.

Paige Kneubuhler scored twice with one assist, while freshman defender
Madi Norris and junior attacker
Audrey Hanson each added a goal and an assist. Norris grabbed five ground balls, while
Lex MacLauchlin caused a pair of turnovers. Goalkeepers
Kyla Smith-Fondall (3-4) and
Amelia Fuentes each saw action for the Tornados in the cage.
Brevard dominated from start to finish in this one, scoring 10-straight goals and holding the Battling Bishops scoreless through the first 27:15 of play. After the hosts scored their first goal of the game with 2:45 left to play in the second quarter, BC finished the contest with a 6-1 scoring run.
The Tornados were able to outshoot NC Wesleyan 31-8, forced 26 turnovers, won 19 ground balls, and went 3-for-5 on free position shots.
Brevard returns home for midweek non-conference action on Wednesday, March 27, as the Tornados host Averett University at 4 p.m.
