RALEIGH, N.C. - The Brevard College women's tennis team (5-4, 2-1 USA South) dominated doubles action and took all six singles matches a with four of them being decided by a third-set tiebreaker - to earn a 9-0 conference win on the road on Thursday afternoon in Raleigh, North Carolina. 

BC had no issue with all three doubles matches to take an early 3-0 match lead. The Avenging Angels made things tight in singles play, forcing four out of the six matches to go to a tiebreaker third set. However, BC came through in the clutch, winning all four of those tight singles contests to sweep Meredith on the road .

Hannah Hersh (6-3, 6-2) dominated her number-one singles match, while Sophie Trantham (6-1, 6-1) had no trouble at the number-five line in singles. Madison Bowen fell behind with a first set defeat, 4-6, in number two singles, but rallied back with a 6-2 second set win and a 10-5 tiebreaker to take the match win. 

Brooke Garland jumped out with a 6-4 win in the first set of number-three singles, but her opponent Hannah Higgins took set number two to send the contest to another tiebreaking third set. Garland took the tiebreaker 10-6 to continue BC's match dominance 

Gracie Spangler lost 2-6 in the first set of number four singles, but bounced back in a big way with a 6-2 triumph in the second set and clinched her match with a 10-5 tiebreaker. Savannah Anderson followed suit in her six-line singles match, 2-6, 6-2, but dominated her tiebreaker 10-1. 

BC is back in action for a scrimmage vs. Franklin College tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the McCoy Tennis Complex.
