BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College men's tennis team (2-9) fell 6-3 to Franklin College (7-7) in a non-conference home match on Good Friday at the McCoy Tennis Complex.
Franklin took all three doubles matches and three singles matches en route to the team victory.
BC's Hayden LeBlanc, Bruce Bernitt, and Devin Horton all earned impressive singles wins at the one-through-three positions, however Brevard was not able to overcome three 8-5 doubles defeats that gave Franklin the early edge, 3-0.
LeBlanc defeated Nathan Jarboe in dominant fashion, 6-0, 6-3, while Bernitt earned a 6-1, 6-3 win in number-two doubles over Dustin Garrison. Horton capped off BC's singles wins with a comfortable 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Owen Pickerill.
The Tornados will be back in action on Monday, April 1 at 2 p.m. at Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, North Carolina.
