Tornados Surge Past Owls to Complete Season Sweep

Miller Leads the Charge with 25 Points, 13 Boards, and Seven Assists

BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College women's basketball team (4-1) handled Warren Wilson (0-8), 94-78, on Monday evening at the Boshamer Gymnasium.
 
Brevard began the contest on a roll, outscoring the Owls 26-14 in the first period. WWC outpaced BC 22-16 in the second quarter to trim the halftime deficit to a 42-36 margin at the break. Brevard closed the game out by holding a 10-point second half advantage, 52-42, to complete the 16-point victory.
 
Olivia Miller was the catalyst for the Tornados, matching her career high with 25 points. Miller snagged 13 rebounds, with 10 coming in the first half, and added seven assists with 12 total field goals made. Analee Morris put up yet another 20-point performance, draining eight field goals while stuffing the sheet with eight boards and five assists. Christena Rhone scored 14 with four 3-pointers, while Kayden Johnson also reached double figures with 11.
 
Tatyana Lewis led four Owls in double figures, scoring 23 points with six made 3-pointers. Ellie Martin added 15 while Kiera Littlejohn scored 12 and Ori Galloway added 10 points and eight boards while playing all 40 minutes.
 
Brevard outshot Warren Wilson 49% to 35% from the field, hit 11 threes to WWC's seven, and controlled the painted area with 44 points in the paint. BC held a dominant 54-37 edge on the glass and recorded 28 assists on 37 made field goals, distributing the ball very well in the contest.
 
BC faces a quick turnaround as Brevard welcomes Berry on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at The Bosh.
