BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College football program has released its schedule for the 2025 season.
"The season will commence with our usual out-of-conference play but will provide a unique, reward-rich slate of opponents," commented Head Coach Bill Khayat, who will enter his ninth season at the helm of BC Football. "Scheduled by design, the competition comes from a variety of levels: D-II, D-III, and NAIA. Facing this diversity of personnel strength and program identity will help to maximize our readiness for yet another year of stiff competition in the USA South."
BC's 2025 slate features three non-conference contests, seven matchups within the USA South Conference, and five home games at Ives-Lemel Family Field.
"Three of our first five matchups are at home, and the Tornado squad will be - as always - appreciative of the energy, enthusiasm, and support present at Ives-Lemel Family Field," added Coach Khayat. "With the presence of the rousing and inspirational Nado Nation, Brevard College Football plans to be off to a tremendous start."
Starting 2025 off, the Tornados will play host to Kentucky Christian University in a rematch of the 2024 season finale. The Knights will make their first-ever trip to Brevard on Saturday, September 6, with kickoff slated for 1 p.m.
Non-conference action rolls on with the first regular-season meeting between Brevard and Sewanee. The Tornados and Tigers will tangle in Sewanee, Tennessee on the campus of the University of the South on Saturday, September 13 at 2 p.m. ET.
BC's final game prior to the start of USA South play will be a home contest against Erskine College, with the Tornados and Flying Fleet squaring off on Saturday, September 20 at 4 p.m. at Ives-Lemel Family Field.
BC will enjoy its bye week at the conclusion of non-conference play before seven-straight contests within the confines of the USA South. BC's league-opener will take place on Saturday, October 4 at 12 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. CT, in Brevard's second-ever trek to Jackson, Mississippi, to face Belhaven University.
Brevard will stay at home the following week, hosting Southern Virginia University on Saturday, October 11 at 3 p.m. as part of the Homecoming 2025 festivities on the BC campus. The Tornados then embark on a two-game road swing in LaGrange, Georgia vs. LaGrange College (Saturday, October 18, 1 pm.) and in Greensboro, North Carolina vs. Greensboro College (Saturday, October 25, 6 p.m.).
November begins with a pivotal home contest as Huntingdon College comes to town on Saturday, November 1, at 12 p.m. BC's final road contest of the season will be a cross-state clash in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on Saturday, November 8, at 1 p.m. vs. Methodist University. Senior Day 2025 at Ives-Lemel Family Field is slated for the final week of the regular season, as the Tornados host North Carolina Wesleyan University on Saturday, November 15, at 1 p.m.
The Tornados finished 2024 with six victories, the program's first six-win season since 2021. BC's 2024 win percentage is the fourth-best in program history, and the Tornados finished in third place in the USA South Conference, looking to build upon that success in 2025.
Robert Dorsey was selected as the USA South Defensive Player of the Year, nine Tornados qualified for All-Conference honors, and a program-record four Tornados earned five spots on the D3football.com All-Region 3 Team.
