Tornados Drop Final Home Game of 2025

BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College women's lacrosse team (6-6, 4-3 USA South) fell 20-5 to Southern Virginia (8-7, 5-3 USAS) in the home finale on Saturday at Ives-Lemel Family Field. 

Xan Hill scored twice with an assist, while Arianna Casertano added two goals and secured three draws controls. Grace Blanton also found the back of the net for BC. 

Blanton added five ground balls defensively, while Kyla Smith-Fondall made 12 saves and grabbed four ground balls. 

The Knights opened up a 7-2 edge through the first quarter, and took a six-goal lead through halftime, 9-3. SVU then outscored Brevard 11-2 over the rest of the game to secure the 15-goal victory. 

Brevard next faces Huntingdon on Tuesday, April 15 at 1 p.m. ET in Montgomery, Alabama.
