2025 Campaign Concludes for WLAX in USA South Tournament

BUENA VISTA, Va. - The 2025 Brevard College women's lacrosse season came to a close on Saturday as the Tornados (7-8) fell by a final of 22-5 to fourth-seeded Southern Virginia University (10-7) on Saturday morning at Knight Stadium in Buena Vista, Virginia.

The defeat wraps up 2025 for the Tornados, who qualified for the USA South postseason for the third-straight campaign. Additionally, BC placed a program-record five student-athletes onto the All-Conference squad this season.

Arianna Casertano and Xan Hill notched a goal and an assist each, with Emily Denaga, Kelsey Hamrick, and Madi Norris all also finding the back of the net for Brevard. Denaga concludes her illustrious four-year Tornado career as the program's all-time leader in goals, points, and draw controls.

Kyla Smith-Fondall stopped a total of 14 shots in the contest with seven ground balls. Denaga secured three ground balls for the defense while also causing three turnovers.

SVU now advances on to the semifinals, where it will take on top-seeded Meredith.
