BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College men's basketball program has announced its schedule for the fast-approaching 2025-26 campaign.

Lee Burgess. "Our non-conference schedule should get us well prepared for, what will certainly be, another very competitive USA South Conference season."
BC's slate features 14 contests within the USA South Conference, 12 matchups inside the Boshamer Gymnasium, and a pair of exhibitions at NCAA DI institutions.
The unofficial start to the 2025-26 campaign begins inside of the Boshamer Gymnasium on Thursday, October 23, as BC hosts its annual midnight madness-style event - Tornado Tipoff - which will begin at 9 p.m.
BC men's basketball will travel through the mountains to Cullowhee, North Carolina to take on NCAA DI Western Carolina University on Wednesday, October 29, with tip time TBD.
The regular season begins at home for Brevard, as the Tornados welcome the Stormy Petrels of Oglethorpe on Saturday, November 8 at 2 p.m. The season-opening two-game homestand is capped by a contest vs. former conference foe LaGrange on Wednesday, November 12 at 5 p.m.
Brevard's first two road contests are nearby, as the Tornados travel to Swannanoa, North Carolina to face Warren Wilson (Friday, November 14, 8 p.m.) and to Greenville, South Carolina to take on Bob Jones (Tuesday, November 18, 7 p.m.). Warren Wilson then makes the return trip to The Bosh on Monday, November 24 at 7:30 p.m.
December begins with a road test at another former USA South opponent Piedmont, as the Tornados and Lions square off in Demorest, Georgia on Tuesday, December 2 at 7 p.m. Bob Jones then returns the favor, with the Bruins visiting The Bosh on Friday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m.
BC's second DI exhibition is scheduled for Friday, December 12 in Boiling Springs, North Carolina against Gardner-Webb. The following afternoon, the Tornados return to regular season action, hosting Johnson & Wales-NC on Saturday, December 13 at 2 p.m. - BC's final contest before the Christmas holiday.
Just prior to New Year's, the Tornados will take part once again in the Jack Berkshire Classic - hosted by Oglethorpe in Atlanta. BC will match up on the neutral court vs. Sewanee on Monday, December 29 at 2 p.m. before a rematch vs. Oglethorpe on Tuesday. December 30 at 4 p.m.
BC's first 2026 matchup will be at home, as the Tornados host Mary Baldwin in the USA South opener on Saturday, January 3 at 4 p.m. Brevard then kicks off a three-game road swing in Buena Vista, Virginia against Southern Virginia (Tuesday, January 6, 2 p.m.), in Fayetteville, North Carolina vs. Methodist (Saturday, January 10, 4:30 p.m.), and in Rocky Mount, North Carolina battling NC Wesleyan (Sunday, January 11, 2 p.m.).
The Tornados return home on Wednesday, January 14 at 7:30 p.m. to host defending USA South champion Pfeiffer at The Bosh. Brevard then hosts William Peace on Saturday, January 17 at 2 p.m.
Brevard faces Johnson & Wales-NC on Tuesday, January 20 at 7 p.m. in a rematch of an early-season contest in Charlotte. The Tornados then dive back into USA South play, closing the month of January out with a home matchup vs. Southern Virginia (Saturday, January 24, 4 p.m.), and road tests in Greensboro, North Carolina against Greensboro (Wednesday, January 28, 5:30 p.m.) and in Staunton, Virginia vs. Mary Baldwin (Saturday, January 31, 2 p.m.).
Five contests in the month of February close out the regular season, three at home and two on the road. First up for the Tornados is a Saturday, February 7 home game vs. Methodist at 2 p.m., followed up by road trips to Misenheimer, North Carolina to play Pfeiffer (Wednesday, February 11, 7 p.m.) and to Raleigh, North Carolina to match up with William Peace (Saturday, February 14, 2 p.m.). A pair of home games finish the regular season slate, with Greensboro (Tuesday, February 17, 7 p.m.) and NC Wesleyan (Saturday, February 21, 4 p.m.) visiting The Bosh.
The 2026 USA South Conference Men's Basketball Tournament begins on Tuesday, February 24 with first-round action. The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, February 26, and the 2026 USA South Championship will take place on Saturday, February 28.
The Tornados qualified for postseason action for the fourth-consecutive season in 2024-25, and secured their third-straight double-digit win total for the first time since a three-season stretch spanning 2008-11. BC MBB defended its home court throughout the campaign, matching the program's most home victories (eight) in the NCAA era. The Tornados led all of NCAA Division III in field goal percentage (51.5%) and ranked inside the top 10 nationally with 18.7 assists per game last season.
