A back-and-forth first quarter resulted in a slim 18-14 lead for Peace at the end of the frame. The Pacers pushed their lead out to eight points, 27-19, before a surge to end the first half cut the deficit down to two points as the Tornados trailed 29-27 heading into the intermission.
BC pulled away late in the third period, taking its first double-digit lead of the contest 53-43 as the Tornados outscored Peace 24-16 in the third stanza. The Pacers responded, cutting the deficit down to six points midway through the fourth period, but the Tornados ended the game on a 17-7 run to claim the 16-point victory, 74-58.
Brevard returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 14, kicking off a home doubleheader for BC with a 5:30 p.m. matchup against Salem at The Bosh.
