BREVARD, N.C. - Four different Brevard College men's soccer players found the back of the net as the Tornados (7-3-2) surged to a 4-2 victory over Warren Wilson (1-9-1) on Tuesday evening at Ives-Lemel Family Field.
Jose Felipe Garces, Eran Nasseraldeen, Aidan Peets, and Jacob Stephens all scored in the four-goal effort. Garces and Stephens notched their first goals of the season, while Peets found the back of the net for the first time in his collegiate career. Rawad Khashan, Henrique Ramos Oliveira, and Nicolas Roman distributed assists in the win, while Soren Deweer totaled seven saves.
WWC's Hullibutton Chinyama and Jose Maria Palacios found the back of the net, while Facundo Escalante and Kevin Locklear dished out assists.
BC put three unanswered goals past the Owls in the first half before WWC scored with under a minute to go in the first period, with Brevard holding a two-goal edge at halftime.
Warren Wilson pulled to within a goal in the 53rd minute, but that would be as close as the Owls would get as Garces' insurance goal in the 63rd minute lifted BC to a two-goal lead that it would hold on to for the remainder of the match.
BC racked up 23 shot attempts in the contest to WWC's 17, with the Tornados holding a 10-9 edge in on-target attempts.
Brevard returns to USA South action on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Fayetteville, North Carolina, facing Methodist.
