BREVARD, N.C. - Brevard College senior forward Jadon Carnes put a bow on his sensational collegiate career with his second-consecutive 33-point performance, as the BC men's basketball team (10-15, 3-11 USAS) finished off its 2025-26 season, falling 86-77 to NC Wesleyan (19-6, 11-3 USAS) on Senior Day Saturday at the Boshamer Gymnasium.
Carnes, alongside fellow seniors Dre'Shaun Brown, Zane Caudle, and Caleb Duncan, were all honored in a special pre-game ceremony. All four of the honored seniors, along with fifth-year guard KK Horton, started the game for the Tornados.
Carnes accumulated his 33 points on 10-of-16 from the floor, 4-of-7 from long distance, and 9-of-9 at the charity stripe. Competing in 101 games over his four seasons with the Tornados, Carnes accumulated 1,252 career points, and has set the NCAA-era career record for both free throw and field goal percentage.
Brevard put forth a valiant second-half comeback attempt after trailing by as many as 22 in the first stanza. BC cut the deficit all the way down to single digits at the 11:37 mark in the second period after a pair of Carnes free throw makes. However, the Battling Bishops were able to pull away from that point forward, pushing their lead back up to 16 en route to the road victory.
The contest marked the final game in the careers of Brown, Carnes, Caudle, Duncan, and Horton, along with graduate transfer Blake Walker. Brevard finishes it 2025-26 campaign with 10 wins, marking its fourth-straight double-digit win campaign.
