SWANNANOA, N.C. - The Brevard College women's lacrosse team (3-7) surrendered the Ridge Rivalry trophy to Warren Wilson (5-8) for the first time, falling 18-5 on Wednesday evening at Hank Steinbrecher Field.
Arianna Casertano posted a hat trick of three goals, while Xan Hill led all Tornados with two goals and three assists for five points. Kyla Smith-Fondall matched her season-high of 18 saves in the effort.
Sydney Weber scored a game-high six goal, with Callie Aerni adding four goals and three assists. Four Owls scored multiple goals in the dominant win to claim the Ridge Rivalry trophy for the first time.
The Tornados are back in action next Wednesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. in Misenheimer, N.C. to take on Pfeiffer.
