BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College softball team (12-24, 4-14 USA South) fell to the USA South Conference Regular Season champion Pfeiffer Falcons (32-8, 17-1 USAS), 9-0 and 11-1 in the final doubleheader of the 2026 season on Friday afternoon at the BC Softball Field.
In game one of the twin bill, the Falcons managed to no-hit the Tornados behind an impressive performance in the circle by Abigail Bowman. Bowman (14-4) hurled five no-hit innings with three strikeouts before Reese Caranna finished off the win with a scoreless sixth.
Elizabeth Auciello (5-13) made her 18th start of the season in the first game of the day.
In game two, Pfeiffer jumped out to the early 3-0 lead in the first inning and kept the surge going, run-ruling the Tornados again by a final of 11-1 in five innings.
Rylee Locklear notched BC's first hit of the day with a second-inning single. BC got more baserunners on in the third with a two-out walk by Analee Morris and an Auciello single, but Pfeiffer ended the frame with no damage.
Locklear notched her second hit of the game in the bottom of the fourth with a two-out knock, followed by a four-pitch walk by Kali Panaccione. A wild pitch and an Addie MacDougall walk loaded the bases, but a lineout halted the rally.
BC's first run of the afternoon came in the bottom of the fifth. Morris led the frame off with a single, and with two outs, Andrea Furr was hit by a pitch. Alyssa Boris then singled through the right side of the infield to drive in Morris.
The doubleheader concludes the 2026 campaign for the Tornados, who secured the program's most wins (12) in a single season since 2019.
