MARYVILLE, Tenn. - Brevard College (7-8) fell 7-0 at Maryville on Tuesday afternoon at the MC Tennis Courts as the Tornados competed in a road non-conference match.

Maryville swept the doubles point to take an early 1-0 advantage, winning all three flights. Brevard's top pairing of
Ayden Montero and
Noah Boyles battled at No. 1 doubles but came up short, 6-3, while the Scots picked up wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions to secure the point.

In singles play, the Tornados competed across the lineup but were unable to break through for a win. Montero faced James Smith at the top spot, while Boyles followed at No. 2, as Maryville clinched the match with straight-set victories up the order.

The closest match of the day came at No. 3 singles, where
Nathan Bookout pushed Field Myatt to three sets. Bookout claimed the opening set in a tiebreak before Myatt rallied to win the final two sets to seal the decision.

BC faces Southern Virginia on Wednesday at noon at the McCoy Tennis Complex.
