BREVARD, N.C. – A program-record five Brevard College men's basketball student-athletes were selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.
 
Khalil Black, Jadon Carnes, Zane Caudle, Brock McKnight, and Blake Walker all secured the prestigious academic accolade from the association.
 
Black, a rising senior from Bronx, New York, competed in his first season with BC this past campaign. Appearing in 22 contests in 2025-26, Black shot 45% from the field, and scored a season-high 17 points in 19 minutes against Methodist on Feb. 7. Black is currently pursuing a degree in Communications form BC.
 
Carnes, a recent BC graduate from Concord, North Carolina, ended his stellar collegiate career with USA South All-Conference First Team accolades this past season. The forward, who averaged 34.4 minutes per game, led the Tornados in field goals made (171), field goal percentage (58.8%), free throws made (69), free throw percentage (89.6), total points (455), points per game (18.2), and offensive rebounds (31). He scored in double figures in 23 of the 25 games, and finished his career with a pair of career-high 33-point performances. For his efforts, Carnes was selected USA South Player of the Week twice in 2025-26. He recently earned his Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Recreation.
 
Caudle, a recent BC graduate from Franklinville, North Carolina, earns his second-straight Honors Court accolade. The Business & Organizational Leadership Bachelor's degree recipient appeared in 19 contests this past season, making his first collegiate start on Senior Day. Caudle put up a season-high nine points with three 3-pointers at Bob Jones on Nov. 18, 2025.
 
McKnight, a rising senior from Sparta, North Carolina, completed his third season with the Tornados in 2025-26. Starting in 24 games for the first time in his career, McKnight averaged career-bests in minutes (27.2), scoring (5.7), rebounding (2.8) and assists (1.2), racking up 143 points with 69 rebounds, 31 assists, and 15 steals. McKnight is currently majoring in Physical Education and Recreation.
 
Walker, a graduate student currently pursuing his Master's degree in Health and Human Performance, competed for the Tornados in 2025-26, capping off his collegiate career with Honors Court accolades.
 
The NABC Honors Court recognizes men's college basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the previous season. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows:
1. Academically a junior, senior or graduate student and a varsity player.
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the academic year.
3. Member of a four-year institution with at least one active NABC-member coach.
