BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College graduate forward Guilherme Barcelos secured his second-straight USA South Rookie of the Week honor after helping the Tornados to a 2-0 victory over Berea last Saturday at Ives-Lemel Family Field.
 
The Osasco, Brazil graduate student forward, in his first year of collegiate soccer, scored the eventual game-winning goal in BC's lone contest last week. Barcelos opened the scoring with a goal in the 32nd minute.
 
Through five matches in his first collegiate season, Barcelos has boosted the Tornado attack with team-best marks of four goals, two assists, and 10 points, notching a pair of eventual game-winning goals as well to help BC to a 4-1 start to the 2026 campaign.
 
Brevard returns to action on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Covenant in Lookout Mountain, Georgia.
