Brevard College alumnus DJ Taylor ’23 begins his first full season on staff with BC Football in the Fall of 2024, serving as the Director of Player Development/Facilities Director/Assistant Defensive Backs Coach/Futures Defensive Backs Coach.
The Lawrenceville, Georgia product attended Archer High School, where he played football for all four years, playing varsity and lettering in football three out of the four years while graduating in May 2019. While in high school, Taylor was selected to the Gwinnett County Touchdown Club and was a recipient of both the Linda Jones Memorial Scholarship Award and the Calvin Johnson "Catching Dreams" Foundation Scholarship.
Taylor attended Brevard College beginning in 2019 and was a pivotal part of the 2019 ECAC Scotty Whitelaw Bowl Championship which was the first postseason championship in football school history. Taylor was also a part of the 2021 USA South Spring football co-championship team as well. Taylor concluded his playing career at BC in Fall of 2023, totaling close to 1,000 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns over the course of his career. Taylor was also selected to the USA South All-Sportsmanship Team in 2023.
Taylor was raised by his mother, Tijuana C. Taylor, and father David D. Taylor. Taylor has two siblings, J’lon Taylor and Victoria Taylor (Tori).
