  • 2022 Philadelphia Stars ended the season with a 6-4 record and qualified for the USFL playoffs. Won the 1st round playoff game 19-14 over the New Jersey Generals sending the franchise to 2022 USFL Championship game vs Birmingham Stallions. 
  • 2022 Philadelphia Stars Special Teams units produced the “USFL Special team player of the Year” KR/PR Maurice Alexander. KOR - 25 returns for 787 yds avg 31.5 per return / Punt Return – 15 returns for 252 yds avg 16.8 per return & 1 TD of 88 yds).

  • 2022 Philadelphia Stars Defensive secondary unit finished ranked 1st in league in Interceptions with (12), 1st in total Defensive Interceptions (15) 1st in total turnovers & turnover ratio (+12). USFL League Interceptions Leader / All USFL 1st team CB Channing Stribling (7 INTs in 7 games).
     

Martin Bayless is entering his seventh season with the Brevard College football program in 2025, serving as the General Manager.

Bayless is a former cornerback/safety who played 13 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Bowling Green State University. After retiring from the NFL in 1998, he joined the Buffalo Bills as a Front Office Executive in 2000 and from 2012 to 2016 held an Executive position with the NFLPA as Regional Director Player Affairs & Development /  NFLPA Collegiate Bowl Director of Football Operations. 

Bayless was inducted into the Bowling Green football HOF in 1989. At Bowling Green, Martin Bayless added four Interceptions in College Bowl games to raise his Career interception totals to 31 picks to become the NCAA DI career interceptions record-holder. 

Bayless was born in Dayton Ohio to parents Stella M. Bayless & Charles E. Bayless Sr., and was raised with 5 older siblings and 1 younger sibling. Coach Bayless attended Dayton Belmont High School where he played the varsity sports of Basketball, Baseball, Football, Track. He made All City honors in both Basketball & Football, made all District honors in both Basketball & Football, and was as a member of the Boys Scouts of America.
