Matt Helton enters his second full season on staff with Brevard College Football, serving in 2025 as the Special Teams Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator
 
Helton came from Brevard following a stint as a graduate assistant offensive line coach at Colorado State University, an FBS football program in the Mountain West Conference. Prior to his time in Fort Collins, Helton was the Tight Ends Coach for Colorado State University-Pueblo, who went 8-4 and qualified for the NCAA DII postseason. Helton also served as an Offensive Line Assistant at both Colorado Mesa University and the University of Northern Colorado. Helton was a football student-athlete at Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
