Miles Hayes, a 2023 master’s graduate of Brevard College and former Tornado quarterback, enters his second season on the coaching staff with the Tornados as Offensive Quality Control/Assistant Quarterbacks Coach/Futures Offensive Coordinator.
 
In his lone playing season with the Tornados in 2022, Hayes appeared under center in eight contests for Brevard, leading all Tornados that season with 842 passing yards and five passing touchdowns. He set -season highs for yards (253) and two touchdowns in a 27-17 victory over Greensboro on September 30, 2022.
 
Prior to attending Brevard, Hayes was a three-year starter at NCAA DII Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina. Hayes totaled 2,875 passing yards and 21 touchdowns over the course of his three playing seasons with the Blue Bears. While at Livingstone, Hayes was named to the CIAA All-Freshman Team in 2018 and was CIAA All-Conference Second Team in 2019.
