JaQuan Casey was named Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Brevard College. Casey enters his second season with the Tornados after a 12-12 campaign in 2024-25 in which the Tornados led all of NCAA DIII in field goal percentage (51.5%).
Casey arrived at Brevard after most recently serving as Associate Head Coach at Borough of Manhattan Community College in New York City.
Casey helped guide Borough of Manhattan Community College to a runner-up finish at the highly competitive CUNYAC (City University of New York Athletic Conference) championships. In 2022-23, Casey held the title of Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Dallas Christian College in Farmers Branch, Texas. At Dallas Christian, he assisted in leading the Crusaders to a NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Final Four appearance.
Additional basketball coaching experience for Casey included serving as Assistant Coach at Blue Valley Northwest High School and Mokan Elite of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League in Overland Park, Kansas. His coaching career began with positions at Ben Davis High School and Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Casey graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Performance from Fort Hays State University in Kansas and also holds Associate degrees in Sport Management and Kinesiology from Vincennes University in Indiana.
