Austin Hurley

Austin Hurley was named Head Coach of the Brevard College men's lacrosse program, entering his first season at the helm in 2026.

Hurley joined the Tornados after an extensive career in the sport of lacrosse expanding across the collegiate, high school, and international ranks.

Hurley currently serves as an Associate Coach for Ireland's National Team, as well as for its Heritage Team, where he has trained Olympic-level talent in midfield, attack, and defensive positions.

In the collegiate ranks, Coach Hurley most recently served as the Head Coach of Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. Hurley's squad was amongst the nation's leaders at the NCAA DII level in offensive efficiency, while the team broke numerous school records and featured a NCAA DIII All-American goalkeeper in Elijah Clark. Prior to Northland's closure, Hurley had an impressive 2025 class on deck with over 25 commitments to his program.

Hurley's depth of lacrosse experience extends to the collegiate club ranks, as he served as the Defensive Coordinator for Indiana University's club squad. At IU, Hurley contributed to a 13-win season and an appearance in the MCLA quarterfinals while at the helm of one of the program's best defenses all-time.

Down highway 25, Hurley served as the Head Lacrosse Coach at Wade Hampton High School in nearby Greenville, South Carolina. Under Hurley's tutelage, Wade Hampton produced numerous All-State players, and helped 15 student-athletes advance in their playing careers across all NCAA divisions, the NAIA, and the MLCA.

Hurley was a standout faceoff specialist at Emmanuel University, a NCAA DII institution in Franklin, Georgia. There, Hurley holds the school record for all-time faceoff wins.
