Juan Mascaro Jr.

Juan Mascaro Jr. was elevated to Associate Head Coach of BC Women's Soccer at Brevard College. Mascaro Jr. is entering his fourth season of his second stint with Brevard College Women's Soccer and his ninth season overall on staff at Brevard College in 2025.

The 2024 campaign was the most record-breaking campaign that BCWS has enjoyed to-date in the NCAA era of competition. The 2024 Brevard women's soccer team broke the single-season NCAA-era win record by claiming 15 overall victories. The Tornados claimed the program's first-ever USA South Conference Regular Season Championship - the first conference regular-season title in the NCAA-era for any sport at BC - and finished the season with an unbeaten 15-0-3 record, the first time BC women's soccer has completed an undefeated campaign since the school was a junior college in 1998. Mascaro Jr. coached the conference's Rookie of the Year (Kinlee Mozley) and Goalkeeper of the Year (Abby Nunez) alongside a record seven All-Conference performers

Following a successful playing career for the Tornados, Mascaro Jr. began his coaching career as the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Emory & Henry College in 2016.

His duties included recruiting, scheduling and various administrative duties, he also served as the goalkeeper coach. Mascaro Jr. was an integral part of the staff that helped the Wasps to their second-best season in the program’s 27-year history as they finished the campaign 10-8-1.

He then returned to Brevard College as Women's Soccer Goalkeeper Coach for the 2017 season helping the unit earn its most wins (11) in the NCAA era.

With Mascaro Jr.’s tutelage Brevard capped off the season with an NCAA program-record seven shutouts, which included triumphs over St. Andrew’s (3-0), Emory & Henry (3-0), Agnes Scott (2-0), Agnes Scott (4-0), LaGrange (2-0), Berea (3-0) and Wesleyan (3-0). Those shutouts also allowed the Tornados women’s soccer program to notch the lowest goals against average (1.1) in the school’s NCAA history

Following the 2017 campaign, Mascaro Jr. joined the Men's Soccer program as an assistant.

Mascaro Jr. is a graduate of Brevard College with a Bachelor's degree in Business and Organizational Leadership to go along with a Master's degree in Sports Management from Georgia Southern University.  He holds a United States Federation D-level coaching license, a National Goalkeeper certification and is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
